How can I install and run UTU on my XP?

Thanks.

Re: UTU & Windows XP Pro

Hi Andrea,

as mentioned in the readme to UTU 1.0 it is only supported on Win2k Prof or Server with SP3 or higher. I tried to install it on Win XP clients as well but could not set it to work yet. Hopefully there will be an update from Cisco that will work with XP.

Bye,

Markus

By this do you mean it won't install or simply not providing expected results? If you're not receiving the expected results, then go throught the UT troubleshooting guide and ensure CW2K/ANI is discovering your end devices correctly.

UTU 1.0 works with XP Pro, SP1. It's just not officially supported by Cisco.

Before you install the client, create a user (with helpdesk privileges) on your CW2K server and make note of the password you use.

Install the client, activate the toolbar, then configure the client with your LMS server (IP or DNS resolvable name), port 1741, helpdesk user ID, password and confirm password.
