very new to setting up cisco router.

I have a cisco 2620 router that I want to set up on a small network(30 client) I have some very basic questions.

#1 Where do I install the software that comes with it, and how do I view the progress?

#2 Can I use the console port for adsl connection?

Re: very new to setting up cisco router.

1. The Box runs S/W called IOS which should already be loaded in the flash memory of the box, this IOS is then loaded in DRAM at boot time. So if you boot the router up for the 1st time out the box you should get a question asking to configure the box, if you say NO then you will have a prompt which looks like this "router>"

2. No the console can not be used for ADSL connections, Cisco have a specific module for ADSL
