VIC 2BRI S/T TE or WIC 2BRI S/T TE for Voip

I am getting conflicting information concerning BRI and VOIP. I require multiple simultaneous voice calls over a backup BRI DDR connection.Am I correct in the assumption that a VIC BRI is only used when requiring a standard basic voice connection to the ISDN2 i.e 2 or 4 channels, and if multiple voice calls are required a WIC should be used with VOIP and RTP compression etc. Or is the WIC BRI not capable of connecting to ISDN2 and carrying voice calls?

Not applicable

The VIC-2BRI-S/T-TE connects directly to

(PSTNs), (PBX), and (PABX). It would give you voice-ports

only and does not support data calls.

wic-BRI S/T interface however is a normal isdn data

interface and supports data calls, though which you can carry voice

using voip dial-peer not pots dial-peer

as a direction connection like VIC-2BRI's.
