VIP CPU utilization guidelines

Could someone please refer me to documentaion on recommended VIP CPU utilization levels. I currently have VIP4-50's consistently running 75% CPU utilization(using if-con and sh proc cpu). I would like to replace them with VIP4-80's but need documentation to justify the upgrade expense.

What features do you have enabled on your router? Specifically the VIPs. What is your traffic pps volume? There is no recommended CPU util.. it will vary on your environment. You do want to ensure that services are optimized for your HW though. If-con is not a supported command although I am sure you know this.

There is no "what utilization should my VIP be running" without knowing more information. With your configuration/IOS version more information could be given to you to ensure your configuration is optimal or if you are hitting an IOS defect.
