vlan 1 priority 8130

Hi Expert!

when we should use like this config ;in wich case.

spanning-tree vlan 1 priority 8130

spanning-tree vlan 2 priority 0

spanning-tree vlan 3 priority 0

hi ali...

first of all you can not have priority like this... priority mustbe the multiple/divisor of 2 so you can have priority of 8192 instad of 8130... and by changing the priority of the VLAN you are trying to determine root bridge by your own... you can use the multiple different priority value in order to obtain the load sharing kind of topology in switching network...it means you are selecting the different root bridge: like one swithc will be a primary root bridge for one vlan and other switch will become a secondary root switch for other vlan...
