VLAN config

I'm new to VLAN configuration but I understand the tecnology. I have 4 cisco 2900XL series and 3, 1900 series. The network experience slow throughput intermitently. The only configuration on the switches is just IP address config. for management purposes. and the network has 135.82.56.0 255.255.255.0 the problem is that I need sample VLAN configurations for each switch, Trunk configuration, do I need to configure VTP domain, and any other config. that I might need.
