VLAN Connectivity..I guess

On a 3500-XL does anyone know of a way to create 1 VLAN that can only see other members of that same VLAN but have a second VLAN that can talk to every port on the switch including those in the first VLAN? Trying to block some contractors from getting to network resources but permanent employees will need to reach the contractor's PCs to pick up and drop off files, etc.

Re: VLAN Connectivity..I guess

Try using an access control list:

access-list 101 permit tcp any any established

interface vlan (Number of contractor's VLAN)

ip address ...

ip access-group 101 in

This will prevent traffic originating on the contractors' VLAN from getting to other VLANs, unless that traffic is a result of TCP connections originating from hosts on other VLANs.
