VLAN database deprecated

Hi

Catalyst C2950 running c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-22.EA4a.bin.

I get the following message after entering the "vlan database" command:

% Warning: It is recommended to configure VLAN from config mode,

as VLAN database mode is being deprecated. Please consult user

documentation for configuring VTP/VLAN in config mode.

Anyone able to point me in the direction of the 'new' way of doing this?

Hi Geoff,

You access config-vlan mode by entering the vlan vlan-id global configuration command.

So instead of:

VLAN database

VLAN 2 name Admin

I now use:

configure terminal

vlan 2

name Sales

end

Correct?
