Re: vlan et 2610

You sure can configure dot1Q with the 2610 FastE. Make sure you have at least IP plus as a feature set.

Hope this helps,

Re: vlan et 2610

Hi,

generally you need 100 Mbps ethernet to configure 802.1Q on Cisco routers.

But there are some exceptions.

I remember configuring 802.1q on some 3600 10Mbps port in the past.

I don't know if there is any document describing these exceptions.

So just install IP Plus IOS and try if "encapsulation dot1Q" subinterface config command is available.

Regards,

Milan

Yes, you can for sure, i had a 2611 witch i used to trunk 802.1q with my 3524xl. you do need to have ip plus feature pack, ios 12.2(2) T ,it will not work on a nm-1e but does on the build in ethernet interfaces of the 261x series.

ISL however is not supported.
