Hi

I am trying to configure VLANs on my switch. I configure 1 IP addresses to each VLAN interface. for some reason I cannot ping the VLAN2 IP I can only ping VLAN 1.

Both the VLANs have same MAC address, so i tires to change the MAC but it says that this is not supported on 2900.

need help!

thanks

Unless it is a L2/L2 capable device such as the 2948G, you will only be able to configure an IP address on the management VLAN.

Hope this helps,

I meant L2/L3 of course.

One precision. I'm referring to the 2948G-L3.

I know that on cat 2950s it only supports one vlan, that is a management vlan only. It does not support multiple vlans

Hope this helps
