VLAN IPX Routing

Hi

We need to setup a 6509 switch to allow inter-vlan routing. We have novell 3.12 and 4.12 server in our infrastructure. The 6509 is installed a MSFC2 and PFC with supervisor engine 1A.

Someone told me that that 6509 is able to forward or route IPX traffic if I have the following module.

Yes, basically what they are saying is you need to run IOS that supports routing of desktop protocols (eg, IPX). If you only have license for 'IP Only' software then you'll need to purchase license for desktop or enterprise software.

Can you give me some information about this issue. Is there any other solution if I want to forward IPX packet across 2 vlans with exiting configuration.

I have the following devices

2 x 6509 switches

20 x 3550 switches

40 x novell servers (in different vlan)

300 x pc (in different vlan)
