just about any version of ios supports hsrp, for the ipx, you need desktop protocols or enterprise. Then you will have to enable ipx routing and assign new ipx network numbers for the user vlans, I would use the existing ipx network number for server vlan, that way no change on the servers. lets say current ipx network aaaaaaaa, use that for server vlan, the use ipx network numbers to correspond to ip networks, i.e 10.10.10.0 to be 101010 for ipx net number or something similar, ipx network numbers are 8 hex digits.
IPX SAPs aren't actually forwarded by a router. The router collects the information from the SAPs it receives on each of its interfaces that participate in IPX. It builds and maintains its own table of SAPs and periodically produces its own SAP packets for broadcasting them out the appropriate interfaces.
So, long story short, if the router interface is participating in IPX (has an IPX network number), then yes, it will send SAP information to that network.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
