VLAN trunk ports

Hello,

I have a little problem down here. I have the following setup:

Riverstone

3000 -----------Cat 1900------3640

switch

All ports are Fastethernet configured as 802.1q trunks.

I have two VLAN's: 400 and 1300 coming from the riverstone switch. The router has ethernet subinterfaces to route between VLAN's.

Since Catalyst's 1900 do not support more than 1005 VLAN's, I'm leaning to think this is the problem.

But I´m not sure if trunk ports on the 1900 should forward traffic from any VLAN number crossing the switch even if they are > 1005.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Carlos

Re: VLAN trunk ports

I don't think it will because the extra 4 bytes will make it an oversized frame since 802.1q is not an option since 1900 will only support isl according to.
