VLAN with 3-rd party proxies

I've got 4 vlan-s configured on catalyst 2950-24

and Intel 82840EM NIC with VLAN support.I want

users to use WinGate proxy server.WinGate does

not see any virtual adapters configured on

Intel 82540EM NIC.Is there any solution?

Can you route between the Vlan's?

If so why not use "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 x.x.x.x" (x.x.x.x ip number Intel lan card) on the catalyst.
