I am configuring a new core for our network. We are going from vlan one to vlans per floor. In doing this we only want the users accessing a certain vlan say vlan 10 dhcp server and app servers. When I use the switchport trunk vlan allow cmd, because I also have the switches connected for failover they take a different path. Will I be able to use this command or should I look at doing acls.

Hello Wallace,

Could you please reformulate your question?

And I not sure If I got it wrong, but I think you could be mistaken layer 2 and layer 3 features.
