VLANS in trunk port

I have configured a trunk port to allow only 3 vlans, nevertheless on the other side of the trunk, the switch listens all the vlans I have defined in the vtp server....what might be happening...?

Re: VLANS in trunk port

VTP info is passed over native vlan 1. If you do not want the switch's vlan database to be updated, then you will need to set it to transparent mode. If you don't care if the vlans are in the database but want to prevent it from passing over the trunk, then all you need to do is clear those vlans from the trunk.
