VLANs

I have some questions about VLANs.

Is there a switch in the Cisco series of Catalyst switches that support phone ports as well. As in, can phone ports be assigned to VLANs too?

Also, how many ports do an RSM support, as I will need about 160 ports...

Sorry for the brief question. Fairly new to all of this :-)

Re: VLANs

I can't speak for the gold-plated Catalysts, so don't know anything about RSM, but the Catayst 3524s we use support attachment of IP phones and assigning them to VLANs. Here's a typical port configuration:

interface FastEthernet0/6

switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q

switchport mode trunk

switchport voice vlan 2

switchport priority extend cos 0

spanning-tree portfast

This allows giving higher priority to the voice VLAN for QOS purposes. I can't imagine the high-end switches wouldn't support VoIP similarly.
