VMPS and Wake Up on LAN

We have a network completely configured for VMPS.

At night we want to place images on pc's, however when the port is configured as a VMPS-port, the ghost-server cannot connect to the pc's.

With VMPS, the port will join a VLAN when it knows the mac-adres of the client.

However when the client is down and is configured for wakeup on lan, the port is inactive or not connected. With the result that the ghost-server cannot reach the client.

If someone has an idea for a workaround...............

tnx

Fred

Re: VMPS and Wake Up on LAN

The wakeup on LAN is going to be the failing point. One way or another, VMPS is going to need to know what the device's MAC address is.
