VMPS - how does he do the update of database on VMPS server?
With Vlan Mgmt Policy Server he puts a copy of database (mapping between MAC and VLAN) from the TFTP server to the switch which is defined as VMPS server. I found somewhere that when you boot the switch he downloads the database from the TFTP server. I was wondering (could't find info on it) if the VMPS server downloads after certain time automatically the db again from the TFTP server. Let's say you have to replace a laptop so you change the MAC address in the db on the TFTP server when does the switch learns this? Suppose you don't have to reboot the switch every time there is a hardware replacement :-).
