VMPS Server 6509 Catalyst 6000/6500 Family

Do you´ll know when the VMPS Server in IOS Catalist 6500 family Native Mode is going to be able?

Do I need do have another specify IOS for that?

Only VMPS Client will be availible for the Catalyst 6500 family switches.

This is surprising given the high-end nature of the 6500 series. Are there no IOS switches that have VMPS server functionality? I know the 4000 series recently got support for this feature but my recollection is that it's with the newest CatOS version.

I hope this isn't an indication that this feature is being phased out. I'm very fond of it.
