VMS - Management Centre for PIX Firewalls error message

Hi,

When I connect to the management centre for pix firewalls, I get the following message:

1. The scope is set back to Global for one of the following reasons: 1. The device or group is deleted by other users. 2. The hierarchy table may changed since database is compacted or restored.

Nothing has been deleted and the server has been running reliably for some time now.

If anybody has any ideas, they will be greatly appreciated.

This could be due to a corrupt database or the pix mc was installed with a different username than what the Common services was installed with. The only way to get over this error is to uninstall PIX MC and reinstall it with the same user as was used for the Common Services.

Hi

Can you ask the customer to run mdcsupport.exe located in CSCOpx\MDC\bin and send us the output zip file? We need to look at the support file to figure out how we can fix the customer's problem.
