VOIP - Power over Ethernet - Inline power - 802.3af

Hi,

i've the follow problem.

On my cisco 6500 ,i've the module WS-X6348-RJ-45 (that is INLINE POWER) where i connect the ip phone ,it doesn't work properly.

INLINE POWER make power on pin 1,2,3,6 .. in the same PIN where pass the informations.

802.3AF make power on the pin 4,5,7,8 without to touch the pin where pass the information.

What is the schema of the pin for to create the adaptator?

I don't find anyone on cisco.com

Can you help me?

Thanks

Probably answered a similar question from you recently? Thank you for rating my post!

I looked up the PowerDsine website and there I found a compatability list that might help you a bit further:

http://www.powerdsine.com/Products/SelectionGuide.asp

They do not publish any wiring diagrams as they are selling the splitters. I believe they cost something like 5$ a piece. Best advice I can give you is to contact them and discuss the solution that is right for you.

For your info: I do not have shares in PDsine ;-)

Regards,

Leo

Earlier I was looking for a page describing the splitters. Found it now:

I need to try this before to buy it.
