VPN

Hi:

We have a Cisco PIX 515 Firewall and were using VPN Client version 3.0.x to connect to our company network. Our prev admin used to telnet (using hyperterminal) to manage the PIX using its outside address. We have now upgraded to VPN Client 4.0 and I am no longer able to connect to the PIX via telnet. Review of the secured routes shows the outside address as a secure route (with VPN Client 3.0.x) which is missing when using the 4.0 Client.

Any suggestions on how this can be resolved.

Thanks

Shridar

Re: VPN

V4.0 supports single IPSec SA approach, no matter how many tunnel list one is pushing, and there are no public-to-public SAs anymore, so telnet to the outside won't work, also you need to add the "management-access inside" on the pix (requires V6.3.1 or later) and "telnet inside " to be able to telnet inside netowork
