Scenario: I have three switches, all trunked together and in the same VTP domain. Two are in server mode, the third in client mode. If I make a vlan change in one of the servers, the client receives the update advertisement and updates it vlan config accordingly.
Question: Does the other server update it's vlan information based on the advertisemant as well (acting like a client)? OR do you have to update the other server manually?
In the vtp, there is the revision number ( which you can view in sh vtp domain or status command) which is same for all the switches in the vtp domain either as the client or server, if you add or delete server the vlanson any particular server, the vtp revision number increments and it means everyone ( client or server) has to listen to it and syn its database with that server.
