hi guys:
My Cisco-2950(vtp-client) cant update vlans from Cisco-3560(VTP-Server).
The switch have 1 link connection and configured as port but still can't update vlans from vtp server.
Also how will you configure a trunk port in 2950 switch?
thanks

In order to pass VTP information over a link both ports must be configured as trunk.

Hi guy,
VTP = vlan "trunk" protocol ;)
Just a little note: I've had, some years ago, a lot of problems with 1900 family as vtp client (normally solved using VTP transparent mode), but never with 2900 family.

Cliff,
Paste the switch configurations and also " show VTP status" and " show VTP counters " from both the switches.

Cliff,
Don't forget that the VTP domain name is case sensitive as well as VTP paswword (if you set, and have to use the same for all switches in the domain).
And don't forget trunk!
