I had a 2950 connected to a 6509. The 6509 was the vtp server and the 2950 was the vtp client. Vlans were learned and all was well. I later had to connect the 2950 to another 6509 - which was a different vtp domain. I thought it would automatically discover the new vtp domain, vlans, etc. but it didn't. Did I simply need to wait longer or is there a commnd that can be run to force the switch to rediscover its vtp information?
The only solution i had was to hard-code the vtp domain name.
