Nothing basicly. VTP server is able to add and remove VLAN information within a VTP domain.
A redundant server is not necessary. Be careful when adding a VTP server, if the configuration number is higher then the current (for some reason) it could overwrite the current VTP configuration on your switches througout the VTP domain.
If your VTP server is down for sometime and by anychance any of your VTP cient goes down or reloaded , vtp client switch will loose all the vlan information.
VTP client switch never stores the information in nvram so it is always better and recommended to have more than 1 VTP server atleast 2 so that atleats one VTP server can hold the network in case of any worse situation.
