WAN bridging, MST and PVST+

I have to parallel WAN link with bridging. One MST switch in one side and one PVST+ switch in the other side. I need to use STP because of loops. When I try to use this configuration all ports in both WAN links goes in blocking state.

I think that the question is that I have MST in one side and PVST+ in the other side. There is a solution for this issue?

Re: WAN bridging, MST and PVST+

Hi,

please provide details: what devices, WAN link type, trunk types, IOS-CatOS versions, where is the root?

Just for sure: are you using PVST+ or RPVTS+?

I remember a bug in the past causing network problems when root was not in the MST cloud.
