we're getting a 6509 soon. should i go with cat os/ios or full ios?

What are the pros and cons of going with a cat os/ios or full ios setup? I have heard that supervisor failure is much faster with the cat os as of now.

Can anyone confirm or deny that or send me links with information on this subject?

Thanks

We now support RPR+ which supports faster failover in native. A previous thread should help as well

So, it appears that even with RPR+ the failover time is 30-60 seconds, where as the failover time using hybrid mode is sub second?

Am I correct?

If it has all the features you need, native IOS is the way to go

Well, I think my main concern is with failover time. Sub second failover sounds a lot better than a minute.

Stateful failover is not supported in Native IOS(yet). RPR+ takes anywhere between 30-60seconds depending on number of line cards and configuration
