web access pc

Hi all, if I want to set up a pc on my network of with port 80 is open inbound from the web to it, would I put this in a dmz or would it be ok on the lan ?

Hi,

The best way is to put the PC in DMZ zone instead of LAN. I prefer to never open ports for incoming traffic for PCs which are located on Intranet (inside interface.

so is the general practice ? I gather for any kind of web access to be let in, you cant use PAT, u have to use NAT ?

Yes you are right, this is the general practice (put DMZ what you want to share for public Internet). I use static NAT and I've never tried other to share resources, this is works well...
