If I have say 2 web servers, does each one need a public ip, or can they share one by using PAT/NAT ?

Hi

If you are hosting the webservices on different ports on the servers like port 80 in one and port 8000 or 8080 in another server you can use PAT itself to translate the local ip of your server to the public ip.

In this case when the request comes to the particular port no i.e., 80 it will be served by server 1 which has the natting enabled on port 80 and viceversa for the requests coming to the port no 8080.

if you want to host both the servers on the same port no i dont think its possible with PAT ,then i would suggest to get a /30 block and configure static translation which can help you out in fullfilling your requirement.
