WHAT ARE THE STANDAR MANAGMENT PROTOCOLS USED ON CISCO ROUTER IN ORDER TO BE MONITORED BY A MANAGMENT APLICATION SUCH AS HP OPEN VIEW NETWORK NODE MANAGER

I KNOW THE SNMP IS SUPPORTED BY CISCO ROUTERS BUT WHAT I NEED TO KNOW, WHAT ARE THE PROCCES INVOLVED IN RESPONDING TO A MANAGEMENT STATION REQUEST, I NEED TO FIND OUT WHAT CISCO ROUTER USE IN ORDER TO BE MANAGED BY A MANAGMENT APLICATION.

SNMP is the standard protocol used to manage Cisco routers, all Cisco routers can be managed by HPOpenView.
