what IOS command to use to find out switchport up/down-time

What IOS command do i use if i want to find out how long a switchport is up or down ?

Hi,

Unfortunally, I've never seen a IOS-command that would present up- or downtime for a switchport. The only thing that comes to my mind is if you use a syslog to catch the link events and use that information to calculate the elapsed time since the last event..
