Re: what is %ERR-1-GT64010 on c3640

It could be due to bad DRAM or bad module. Can you remove the modules from slot0/1/3 and boot the router. Then test it with one module at a time

Hello

I tried to remove the modual from slot0,the sytem can boot up normally.I want to know what is the meaning of "%ERR-1-GT64010: Fatal error, Parity error on master read".I seched it on CCO,but no detailed explaination. The end user require me to give a clear answer.

Re: what is %ERR-1-GT64010 on c3640

This is a PCI parity error. These occur when a Network Module is not

full seated in its slot, or is bad.

You can find reference to troubleshooting this on CCO

Parity error. GT64010 is a system controller

Hello

From my frist post ,Can you have way to decide which slot has problem?

Because I must provide remote trouble-shooting to end user.the end user just mail me the log information, sometime I have to decide the fault slot just by limite information.

Re: what is %ERR-1-GT64010 on c3640

Unfortunately, we cannot say which slot is causing this from the logs.

Re: what is %ERR-1-GT64010 on c3640

If the router get in continu boot loop,we can not get show tech or any other information because we can not get into the router. The only way is to replace the Modual on the router one by one to locate the problem .Is it this way ?

Re: what is %ERR-1-GT64010 on c3640

If you have console access, you should be able to get the messages from a console session as the router dumps messages to console when it is attempting to boot
