SRAM, Synchronous RAM is just that--Fast memory. It can be used for
almost anything. It could be used for packet memory on the RSP. If it
is used for packet memory on the RSP, with direct access to it from the
CyBus, that packet memory structure is called, in cisco parlance, "MEMD".
It is a shared memory structure to hold packets as they get
moved/switched/routed between Interface Processors. All packets that
get "pushed" out of an Interface Processor across the CY bus, get
"pushed" into MEMD, first.
