can any one explanin what is the differenec between layer 3 and layer 2 etherchannel

Hi Dave,

In very simple terms etherchannel is a logical interface where more than 1 physical interface is bounded to have more throughput.

Using a same simple explaination if you bundle more than one layer 2 ports of switches together it is termed as layer 2 etherchannel and when you have more than 2 routed or layer 3 port bonded together it is teramed as layer 3 port channel.
