What is the mathematical equation to determine what channel of an Etherchannel is to be used when using IP Address Frame Distribution?

What is the mathmatical equation to determine what channel of an Etherchannel is to be used when using IP Address Frame Distribution? I understand how to convert a MAC address to a channel number but not an IP address.

Re: What is the mathematical equation to determine what channel

Use the following command to convert IP addresse to a channel.

cs-c6506-41a> (enable) sh bndlhash

Usage: show bndlhash [address2]

mac address use: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx;

ip address use:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

if channel_id is 0 then return hash value only, otherwise mod/port
