This is because hubs only operate at half duplex, your switch will negotiate the duplex if it is set to auto anyway.

HUB only operates in half duplex mode, all ports of a hub in the same collision domain and this is the reason. In case of switches all ports are in separated collision domains and can operate in FDX mode.

If you need FDX connection change your hub to switch.
