When I debug ISDN events

Message

ISDN BRI0/0: isdn_is_bchannel_available: No Free B-channels

It appears the router is trying to initiate a call, even though both channels are already in use.

INT BRI0/0

dialer idle-timeout 2147483

dialer map ip 172.16.241.1 name core7513 broadcast 817XXXXXXX

dialer load-threshold 1 either

I also see "invalid EAO Bit" and "Aborted Frame LAPD" errors on my Agilent sniffer.

Can I lengthen the timer that tries to initiate the call.....

If both channels are already in use, you should not need to change the timer that initiates the calling. You may want to add "ppp mult max 2" to the interface, so that it will stop attempting to dial after 2 connections. If you did still want to control the redial attempts, check out the "dialer redial" command.

Re: When I debug ISDN events

THis command is apparently not available on IOS v 12.0.5T1 on the Bri interface. it does work on 12.2.6E and fixed the problem....

I tried the dialer redial but it requires a dialer-inband or dialer pool to be configured.....which I don't need
