When you configure IP packet filtering on a router, which Internet Protocol (IP) number should you permit to allow OSPF messages

You are responsible for the routers in one Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) area of your corporation's Autonomous System (AS). When you configure IP packet filtering on the routers, which Internet Protocol (IP) number should you permit to allow OSPF messages to be received by each router?

Re: When you configure IP packet filtering on a router, which In

The addresses used for OSPF are

224.0.0.5 and 224.0.0.6; the OSPF

IP protocol number is 89. That should

be all you need to specify in the access

lists.
