=NET. Equipment=

-Router 2621, OS 12.07,1 ethernet port, 2 fast Ethernet ports

-Switch Catalyst 6513, 8 10/100 48 ports blade

=Servers and workstations equipment=

-300 win95 workstations running ip/ipx

-8 NT 4.0 IP servers (data, apps and windows functionality like pdc, wins, dhcp,etc) 4 Netware 3.x IPXservers

=Premise=

All the users need access to all the servers.

All the users need access to Internet (the 2621 is connected to a firewall via E0/0

==Model 1==

Divide the company in 7 VLANs (50 users each one). 6VLANs for the clients and 1 VLAN for the servers.

All the users VLANs should communicate with the servers VLAN.

User’s VLANs should not “see” the other VLANs.

=Solution for model 1=

Use just one of the FastEthernet-interfaces and create subinterfaces for each vlan

==Model 2==

Divide the users in 6 VLANs (50 users each one).

All the users VLANs should communicate with the server

Users VLANs should not "see" each other.

=Solution for model 2=

Use one of the FastEthernet-interface and create subinterfaces for each user vlans

Use the other one Fastethernet-interface and create a network for the server.

Hi, with the equitment that you have I recommed the next.

Is not a good idea to use the 2621 for routing between Vlans if you have 6513, the best option is to create the VLAN in your 6513 and implement routing between them in the 6513 too, and the 2621 that only route traffic when go to the Internet, or of not you will load the Router with internal traffic and Internet traffic, and remember the capacity of commutation is more very fast in 6513 that 2621. I dont know what application are you using but will be faster if you use the 6513 for this work.
