Hello,
I have upgraded a Cat3524XL and want to test web-access. Configured ip addr, enable- ,cons-, line- passwords.
Connecting to switch is ok, but then a windows occurs for 'networkusername' and 'password'. I tried all the actual passwords, no success. Which username and psword are correct ?
Thanks Ruedi

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps607/products_tech_note09186a0080094709.shtml is a good point to start. Not sure if this is due to CSCdv87542 mentioned above.

Hello, That was it: username AND password are the 'enable password'.
Thanks for help

Yes, this works.
But from security point of view this is not good. The enable password can be seen in clear form on your browser screen.
I'm using a user account with pri 15 defined for this purpose and it works fine.

That's right. I have to test a switch, configured for a customer (as spare) and just want to show, if CMS works or not.
Could you give me some example about configure a user account pri 15.....
I would use it for test as describe above.
Thanks in advance
Ruedi
