Why a route "is possibly down"?

Hi all,

When I config bgp, I met a strange state that router A 's bgp neighbor is router B (Running EBGP) and I found that some routes that advertised from router B "is possibly down" in router A, but when I use "show ip bgp neighbor" in router in router A, the neighbor is up. And I use command "clear ip route *", the route came to normal state again and I can ping the the ip from other routers. But after a while, the route came to "is possibly down" again. I happen to met that when I config IGRP over frame-relay last time for split horizon problem. But I think this time is very strange. Can any one tell me when a route can "is possibly down"? Thank You!

Best Regards

Teru Lei

Try using clear ip bgp " neighbors address" , this will force routing refresh .
