Why cant my MSFC2 see the slot0 flash card that I have formatted from the Supervisor2 card?

I have a 6513 with dual Sup 2 / MSFC2 cards in slots 1 and 2. The Flash cards had not been formatted and could not be accessed by either the sup 2 or the MSFC2. I formatted the cards from the Sup2 and installed CatOS and IOS files. The MSFC2 does not see the Flash card. it is still unable to see anything in slot0:. Yet it can copy its config to sup-slot0:. How can I get the MSFC to recognise slot0: and so access the new IOS?

You cannot see the slot0: from MSFC but should still be able to copy to and from Slot0: into MSFC bootflash

On a Hybrid IOS system, supervisor only controls the slot0:, MSFC can read/write to it as you indicated. MSFC is a daugter card on the supevisor and Slot0: belongs to the supervisor. This is by design and no new IOS will be able to do it in the hybrid setup. You can see it in the Native/Integrated IOS.
