why does 'no fair-queue' have to be configured on frame relay interfaces?

Why does the 'no fair-queue' command have to be configured on frame relay interfaces?

I seem to recall that fair queuing will cause a problem with some LSA packets. Is this correct? What is the reason?

Re: why does 'no fair-queue' have to be configured on frame rela

Fair-queue or Weighted Fair Queueing (WFQ) does not have to be configured on each Frame Relay Interface. It is a default parameter used to efficiently prioritize a variety of traffic types and requirements for mission-critical and time-sensitive multimedia/voice application traffic, it is a QoS tool. To know more about WFQ visit http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/732/Tech/wfq/

Please specify how WFQ is causing a problem on your network.
