Why I can not Ping My local ISDN interface while its up ?

I have two routers connected via ISDN lines , and Im trying to ping my local bri interface while the connection is up and I can ping the remote IP but ubable to ping the local IP?

Not applicable

Because all the CISCO routers are sending in the media the

packets destined for its IP address.

As on the ISDN line you (probably) not have

a map to your own interface IP address

the router does not know HOW to encapsulate the ping packets.

The situation is different when pinging the remote one.

You can consider this as a normal behavior!
