Why IGRP is not listed as an option ?

C2610, IOS 12.3.

I am trying to do redistribution RIP<->IGRP. However, when I attempt to enable 'router igrp <>', the router doesn't recognize the command. What am I missing ? I can see other protocols, but not IGRP.

RouterD(config)#router ?

bgp Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

eigrp Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)

isis ISO IS-IS

iso-igrp IGRP for OSI networks

mobile Mobile routes

odr On Demand stub Routes

ospf Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)

rip Routing Information Protocol (RIP)

RouterD(config)#

Re: Why IGRP is not listed as an option ?

Hi,

IGRP is not supported in any 12.3 releases. AFAIK, Cisco stopped IGRP support in IOS with the 12.2x releases.

You will need to downgrade your software to 12.2 in order to get IGRP support.

Hope that helps - pls do rate the post if it does.
