Check this bug:
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCdw92669
We have a bunch of 3550's and a few 6500 running IOS which stamps wrong time in the log due to that we use timezone. The proposed workaround is to remove the timezone-settings, but then we get the wrong time in the switch due to the ntp time-sync we use. Only way to get right time is to use timezone. Unless we remove the ntp syncronization as well. Duh.
Gaah!
Why dont Cisco just fix the bug????

"service timestamp log datetime localtime" is the correct command to set the
log time stamp relative to the local time zone. The log default is always
at UTC.
