Re: Why "errdisable"

Is this port a access, trunk, or etherchannel port??

The port will go into a errdisable if both ports connecting have mismatched settings (etherchannel, etc). Check all your settings for that module on both sides and make sure all settings for the ports match. (show config all )

Also, look at the stats and make sure there are no errors and hard-code the speed/duplex if they aren't already.

Re: Why "errdisable"

Errdisable state means the switch has detected an error on the port, and has disabled it to get your attention. You can change the switch behavior, but you may not want to. A common cause of errdisable state is to have portfast enabled on a port, and to plug another switch into that port. The receipt of a BPDU from the second switch will errdisable the port on the first switch. The first switch is trying to prevent a possible loop.
