Why terminal router keeps generating login requests through Async lines?

I have a 2600 configured as terminal server router to provide reverse telnet to other devices' console or Aux. The router now keeps generating login requests on some Async line by using some characters in the banner as username and password. Ofcourse those attemps could never succeed, and the devices keeps generating error login logs.

What could be the cause of it. Here is the Async line config:

line 33 48

session-timeout 15

exec-timeout 0 0

flush-at-activation

transport input telnet

stopbits 1

Thanks

Gary

I would suggest that you add this to the configuration:

no exec

try it and let us know if it solves the issue.

Thanks for the idea. I'll try that. The interesting thing I found out is the this is only happening on the CatOS switches but not the routers running native IOS. I have both types connected to the terminal server router's async lines.
